Workshops

The Writing Center offers workshops to students, staff, and faculty groups in our affiliate programs on the Emory campus. Typically lasting an hour, workshops are hands-on opportunities to hone writing techniques, learn specific writing genres, or develop writing projects. (If you would like to request a standard class visit about the Writing Center, please see our Class Visits page.) 

Workshop themes are tailored to the needs of each group but may include:

• writing process (from brainstorming and drafting to revision and incorporating feedback)
• genres of academic writing (conference paper, article, dissertation, monograph)
• professional writing (application statements, resumes, CVs)

Emory faculty, staff, or students can request a workshop by filling out this form.

Kindly give us at least three weeks’ notice before you would like the workshop to be scheduled. Requests will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis, so the earlier you contact us, the better!
